So as you can see from my blog, I am very COVID cautious. You might also be able to tell COVID has turned me into a huge germaphobe.
To enter Guatemala you need to present a negative PCR or antigen test administered within 72 hours of entering the country. I feel like many people would find this annoying, but I was more than happy to get tested. It made me feel safer about traveling to Guatemala since they are taking the proper precautions before allowing people into their country.
As of recently people traveling to Guatemala who have been in Brazil, South Africa or the U.K. within 14 days of travel can not enter due to the new variants and Guatemala obviously wanting to keep their population safe.
Our first stop in Guatemala after the border crossing was Quetzaltenango, here everyone we saw on the streets were wearing masks, everyone at the border was wearing masks and there was sanitizer everywhere. Our Airbnb was no contact check in and was very clean, which made us feel good about our stay!
After Quetzaltenango we went on to Tzununa on Lake Atitlan. Here
